HotJPD (Sea) Product Restrictions & Customs Declaration Information
Restricted Items & Customs Declaration Instructions
Reminder: We do not accept items with flammable, explosive, hazardous, or warning labels on the outer packaging, and we do not accept spray pressure cans.
1. For each shipping order, the initial weight is 5kg, with each additional kilogram calculated thereafter.
2. Customs duties, tax invoices, and local delivery fees for large items will be paid upon delivery.
3. Prohibited items include: [perfume, aerosol cans, food items, snacks, health supplements, tobacco and alcohol, medications, pure batteries, fans and air conditioners, products with motors, car aluminum wheels, mosquito repellents, cosmetics, skincare products, any animal or insect products, and processed foods]. Any violations will incur liability for all expenses incurred by Taiwanese and Japanese customs.
4. Items containing lithium batteries/dry batteries/rechargeable products are prohibited and will not be accepted.
5. Due to recent strict inspections at Taiwan's sea ports, many shipments, including transshipments and commercial inspection goods, are currently not accepted:
*Electric bicycles
*Various electric appliances (TVs, dehumidifiers, microwave ovens, etc.), both plug-in and rechargeable devices are prohibited.
*Massage chairs
*Items exceeding the weight and size limits of express shipping
6. When consolidating packages, if the manufacturer's packaging is not sturdy, it may require a larger box, incurring additional charges and increasing the weight and shipping costs.
7. During sea freight transportation, there is a possibility of damage due to the weight compression of pallets in containers, which we cannot predict or compensate for. The maximum compensation for loss is 1000 NTD. Therefore, it is recommended to reinforce packaging or use wooden frames.
8. After the sea freight order is established, if it needs to be converted to air freight for return to Taiwan, additional fees for manual and vehicle transportation will apply, at 300 NTD per ticket. If the shipment is returned due to non-acceptable items during customs and port/airport inspections, additional fees will be incurred, totaling the full amount plus a 1500 NTD manual processing fee.
9. Cross-border parcels are not accepted at the Japan warehouse due to the approximately 30-day wait for tax invoices and the requirement to wait for proof of tax payment before processing. Therefore, please refrain from shipping parcels to Japan.
10. Return fees: The fee for each stored package is 300 logistics points, plus the cost of returning it to the designated location. Please take note.
11. No inspection is conducted for sea freight, and insurance services are not available.
12. The contents of entrusted parcels must comply with relevant import regulations and must not contain prohibited items. If any non-compliance is found, the sender is responsible for all legal liabilities and expenses incurred. Furthermore, the consignment note will not be eligible for the aforementioned promotional benefits. Red Sea reserves the right to change the service content and the final interpretation.
13. Establishing a shipping order implies agreement and compliance with the above instructions.
Special Notice:
