B4. Difference between Consolidated and Intl Express Shipping fees and customs clearance?

Two methods of calculating shipping costs:
Consolidated Shipping: cargo is shipped out at fixed times
*All cargo is consolidated together and shipped out via air or sea
*There are no personal customs declaration fees unless required by customs.
*Simple customs declaration and clearance in Taiwan will result in much lower shipping costs, and the accuracy of information (quantity, description, and purchase price of the items) declared for import is more lenient.
*It is also suitable for companies to handle import customs clearance with lower shipping costs. You can choose whether to include frequent seller tariffs.
International Express: can be scheduled whenever the local warehouse is in operation
*Is not consolidated with other cargo, resulting in higher transportation costs.
*There are customs declaration fees and tariffs.
*Detailed declaration of goods information, quantity, and weight is required. Any inaccurate information can result in fines, delays, return, and/or destruction of the package.
*You can also directly arrange for pickup from your home to the destination, please inquire with customer service first.
*Import duties need to be paid by the recipient.
*There are more regulations from customs and government departments, so it's advisable to inform customer service for assistance in explaining them in advance.

You can check the cost explanation for selecting the country, warehouse, and route on the homepage of the official website.
Logistics costs can be calculated using the estimated shipping cost calculator.

Weight and volume calculation methods:
For shipments from overseas warehouses to Taiwan: Due to different requirements from airlines, the volumetric calculation methods for warehouses in different countries vary. Please refer to the detailed explanation on the country selection page on the homepage of the official website.
For international parcel import and export: Shipping costs are calculated based on the higher of the actual weight and volumetric weight.

B5. How is a pound calculated, and how many pounds are in a kilogram?

What is a pound (lb)?
A pound (lb) is a unit of weight used in the United States, Canada, and the British imperial system.
How many pounds are in a kilogram?
1 pound is equal to 453.59237 grams (0.453 kilograms), and 1 kilogram is equal to 2.20462262 pounds.

B6. Why is the international shipping cost calculated based on volume weight rather than the actual weight of the goods?

According to the regulations of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), international shipping costs are calculated based on the higher of the "volume weight" and the "actual weight" of the goods. This is because larger-volume goods, even if they are lightweight in actual weight, still occupy more space in the cargo hold, incurring higher costs. Therefore, it is necessary to calculate both the volume and the actual weight. Please refer to the weight and volume calculation explained in FAQ B4.
Different international forwarding warehouses may offer various volume discounts, which can be found in the cost descriptions for imports and exports.
Friendly reminder: If the sum of any two sides is ≥ 225 centimeters, the shipping cost will be determined by the higher of the volume weight or the actual weight.

B7. The tracking number stocked into my account doesn't match the one provided by the manufacturer?

This happens because in actual delivery, a package’s progress is often divided into multiple zones by logistics companies like DHL, FEDEX, UPS, USPS, LaserShip, etc. To facilitate their delivery process, they may add their own section control code to the regular tracking number. As a result, the scanned barcode may appear as a long string (but it will often be included your tracking number).
The issue is the same when using any forwarding service. This situation can only be resolved by pre-reporting the arrival of your package. When the system detects that the scanned barcode includes your Pre Stock In/Preorder number, it will use your tracking number for stocking in. By doing this, the numbers will match. We kindly request all members to fill out a Pre Stock In/Preorder form the arrival of their packages as early as possible.
You can use our specially provided feature: proactively go to "Order Progress Inquiry - Unclaimed Packages" to search for missing packages.

B8. The seller's website says "delivered," but package has not been stocked in?

Please check the below potential reasons:
A. Not entered due to time and time zone differences:
If it arrives at the warehouse before noon, we will try to process it on the same day. If it arrives after noon, it will be processed on the following day.
Check the "Unclaimed Packages" in the Package Status Inquiry if the member number is not provided.
B. Not entered after more than 2 working days have passed:
Before contacting customer service, please prepare the following information to expedite our service:
1.Screenshot of the signature of the person who received the package.
2.Screenshot of the delivery process records.
3.Screenshot of the seller's delivery address provided to the logistics company.
4.Please verify if the delivery time is during warehouse working hours.
5.For logistics numbers and member numbers, please type them out for customer service.
6.Verify that the complete delivery address (including punctuation) on the manufacturer's invoice (contents and quantity) matches the warehouse address on the official website.
C. Process for trying to find the reason the package has not been stocked in yet:
We will first investigate the issue based on the information you provide.
We will notify the warehouse to assist in locating unclaimed packages.
If package was signed by a neighbor, we will contact either neighbors or the courier company.
D. Possible reasons why package as not shipped successfully:
Without a signature, it is challenging to provide evidence that the package was shipped successfully, and drivers can provide various explanations.
Drivers may occasionally sign on behalf of recipients but deliver to the wrong location. Please inform them to retrieve and resend it to us.
Drivers may claim delivery without actually doing so; there should be someone available to receive during working hours, so ask them to attempt redelivery.
A common scenario is when postal personnel deliver to mailboxes but find the package doesn't fit, so they take it back without leaving a notice. After a while, it might be returned.
Sometimes, drivers leave packages at a service center counter instead of directly delivering them to our consolidation warehouse, and these counters are often unmanned and packages can be taken.
The address was filled out incorrectly and did not strictly adhere to the warehouse address on the official website, including punctuation.
We recommend notifying the seller as soon as possible if you haven't received your package to protect your rights. In reality, the package belongs to you and the seller, and we have no authority to enforce anything. In our previous experience, we have reported cases to the police but ultimately could not help in any way, so please be aware that we cannot take any action for you.
The most foolproof method is to require a signature upon package delivery to protect your financial interests. It's essential to purchase from responsible sellers.
Since warehouses are closed on weekends and holidays, delivering parcels during non-working hours at the warehouse makes it difficult to confirm the accurate delivery and safety of the packages.
A special emphasis on reminders:
Customer service operates on Taiwan time: Monday to Friday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM; there's no service on national holidays. Foreign consolidation warehouses operate according to local time.
Service begins from the time we receive and process the package's entry.
Requests beyond the scope and location of warehouse operations are not accepted.
Staff have the right to refuse additional service requests.
Service requests related to warehouse relocations to previous locations are not accepted.

B9. How to choose between the tax-inclusive and tax-exclusive routes?

Why choose a tax not included route?
Customs regulations stipulate that individuals can enjoy up to 6 duty-free imports per person every half-year (January to June, July to December), with a declared value of up to 2000 TWD per parcel.
Multiple import declarants can utilize this option.
Suitable for businesses or individuals looking to save on shipping costs.
If random inspections incur duties, we offer advance payment services.
Individuals can enjoy simplified import declaration without additional customs declaration fees when returning to Taiwan.
Companies opting for formal import declaration to claim input tax.
Goods fall under special category routes, such as tobacco, alcohol, perfume, or items with rechargeable batteries.
Parcel value exceeds 30,000 TWD.
Not enrolled in the Customs Real Name Authentication EZWAY App.
Have customs tax certificates for imports.

Why choose the tax included route and its regulations:
Customs recognize frequent buyer tariffs for declarations up to 2000 TWD.
Excludes special category goods to avoid complications; we handle tax payments directly.
Participation in Real Name Authentication EZWay App and clicking "Confirm."
Taxes are also covered by the Red Sea, without providing tax invoices.

Reasons for having to pay tariffs and related fees even with the tariff-inclusive route:
Duties may be imposed by customs during random inspection, regardless of value.
Inaccurate information in declaration forms may require providing documents again as requested by customs.
Customs evaluates the package value to exceed 2000 TWD.
Incorrect or excessive item descriptions or quantities beyond customs regulations.
Government agency verification may be required by customs, which will result in fees paid for by the recipient.
Parcels with dimensions exceeding 170 cm in combined length, width, and height, or individual items weighing over 20 kg (44 lbs).
A re-inspection and adjustment of tariffs may be required upon customs' random sampling, necessitating a letter of authorization.
Formal declaration may be demanded by customs, incurring an additional 600 TWD declaration fee plus tariffs (with a customs receipt).
Parcels not meeting national regulations may be subject to return or abandonment upon customs request, with costs borne by the recipient.
Prohibited or illegal goods.

B10. How do I pay for international shipping and import tariffs?

Redsea7 utilizes a prepaid system, allowing users to recharge their accounts and use the balance gradually. The member's account will display the available balance.
  • Bank wire transfer directly to the member's account is the most efficient method.
  • ATM, counters, and convenience stores are also accepted.
  • Payments can be made in Taiwanese dollars (NTD), US dollars (USD), Chinese yuan (CNY), Malaysian ringgit (RM), and Thai baht (THB).

B11. After completing my online shopping, when will the purchased items arrive at the Redsea7 consolidation center?

When will the purchased items arrive at the consolidation center?
The arrival time of items at the consolidation center varies for each merchant due to different locations and shipping times. After completing your order, please pay attention to the shipping notification email from the shopping website. The email will provide details such as the shipping carrier, tracking number, and estimated delivery time. Be sure to check for any information regarding split shipments or explanations for shortages or partial deliveries.
Generally, the items are expected to reach the Redsea7 international consolidation center approximately 7 days after you have completed the order (though this may vary during peak shopping seasons).
Many websites offer free domestic shipping for orders meeting a certain threshold. If you have an urgent shipping requirement, additional domestic shipping fees may apply, providing faster delivery or specific arrival dates as options.

B12. After I've paid the international shipping and consolidation fees, when can I expect the delivery to Taiwan?

When can I expect the delivery to Taiwan?

Upon receiving your shipping fees, the consolidation center will arrange for dispatch. Your package is expected to reach you within 5-10 working days. Please note that the time frame is an estimate, and factors such as flight schedules, customs clearance inspections, and other transport-related considerations may impact the delivery time. In the event of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, there might be potential delays in the transit time.

B13. After the goods arrive in Taiwan, do I still need to pay for domestic delivery fees?

Your international shipping fees already include the domestic delivery fees in Taiwan. You only need to pay for the international shipping fees and any potential import tariffs that may arise.

B14. Can you handle the shipping of large items such as TVs and strollers?

Yes, it is possible, but please be mindful of packaging requirements and the regulations of airports and airlines.
For items like large TVs, paintings, sculptures, etc., we currently offer crate packaging services at the BDE warehouse in Delaware, USA. Other warehouses do not provide crate packaging services, so you will need to arrange this on your own.
Fees are calculated based on the size and weight of the items. If the dimensions of the local freight delivered to the airport exceed 175 cm on any side, or if the weight exceeds 30 kg, there will be an additional fee of 1600 NTD minimum for oversized items.
For items in the same box, the length and width on two sides must not simultaneously exceed 90 cm. If the weight exceeds 50 kg or if one side exceeds 180 cm, or both sides simultaneously exceed 90 cm, an additional fee for oversized items will be quoted separately, or the items may be rejected.
Certain items such as strollers and massage chairs may encounter security checks. It is recommended to apply for personal use approval before importing such items for a smoother process.
If you have such items, please contact LINE customer service at @lgg6811g in advance and provide the product link. We will provide detailed information and assistance.

B15. Can you accept Cross Border Packages?
